301 Redirect When Moving Pages

The improvements allow for pages to be moved to Blogs and a 301 redirect will be displayed to search engines, pointing them in the right direction. This will mean that search engines will not get an empty page where your content once was.

401 Page Not Found

Previously when a page was not found on the CMS due to a bad link or a page that's been moved the search engines would be shown a "Page Not Found" message. However the correct header "Header 401" was not displayed. This meant that some search engines where not able to work out the the page was no longer available and simpled cached the "Not Found" error message. This would lead to a lower Search Engine Page Ranking position.

Blog Meta Data

Update to include the Keywords within the pages title along with required Meta Data like Author, Keywords and Descriptions. It's important that all client's who use GBFramework V2 update their pages so that the Description is a single, high quality paragraph explaining the pages content.

Let their be Blogs

An update to the blog system means that you have to create a page and assign it to the Category "Blog". This page will then show-up in the blog section of the site. Note to view your Blog simply put "/blog/home" in front of your URL.

For example:

www.gbdesign.net
www.gbdesign.net/blog/home
